Alba Tull is the founder and managing director of First Light Capital Group (First Light), an investment fund that employs a proprietary technology-informed investment process and predictive analytics to trade public equities, private equities and debt. Separately, Alba also runs a seed capital venture that provides funding to female founders and entrepreneurs predominately in the technology and pharmaceutical industries.
Outside of First Light, Alba is the chairperson of Tull Investment Group, a privately held investment fund that manages an array of holdings with current and past investments including Genies, Pinterest, Zoox and Oculus Rift.
Alba is also a leading philanthropist and chairs the family’s philanthropic organization, the Tull Family Foundation (TFF). Through TFF, Alba has partnered with The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to create the Alba Tull Center for Medical Innovation, a facility devoted to the study and advancement of neuro imaging and therapeutics. In addition to TFF, she is a board member of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, the Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Science Center, The Rett Syndrome Research Trust and The Jackie Robinson Foundation. She is also a member of Carnegie Mellon University’s Highlands Circle and is an avid supporter of the United States Navy, for which she was bestowed the prestigious title of sponsor for the USS Cooperstown LCS 23.
Additionally, Alba is an accomplished, multi-disciplined fine art and commercial photographer as well as a film producer, having worked with some of today's most iconic personalities.
